UWI tells UK to ‘retreat’ from idea of direct rule in VI
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The University of the West Indies (UWI) has joined with CARICOM and the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) in calling on Britain to retreat from “stated political calls to subvert and subordinate the sovereignty of the people of the Virgin Islands.”
