EAST END, Tortola, VI – A few months shy of a year since the East End/Long Look Festival and Fairs Committee’s failure to pull off at least two ticketed events, one is set to finally come into fruition this evening July 8, 2017.

Earlier this year, ticket holders told this news site that they felt scammed since they had not been hearing anything official from the committee about a refund or new dates for the events to be held.

The two events are a raffle, with a motor scooter as its main prize, which should have been drawn in July 2016, and a boat ride dubbed 'White and Bright Boat Ride', which was scheduled for November 2016.

Sources close to the committee confirmed that the boat ride will come of this weekend but there has been no word on the raffle just yet.

“Much planning went it to it (the boat ride) and we will be on Kaymon Seal giving our patrons more than they bargained for when it was planned for last year,” the source told this news site.

Entertainers on the boat ride will include Pumpa, Small Axe Band, DJ Cool, DJ Push Pop and DJ Avalanche.

Boarding for the “Saturday evening moonlight cruise aboard the Kaymon Seal” will begin at 6:30 P.M. at James Young Dock in East End.

Persons interested in tickets are asked to call 342 9141.
