HLSCC celebrates historic investiture of President Richard W. Georges
PARAQUITA BAY, Tortola, VI – Nationally recognised leader in higher education and scholar of cultural and critical theory, Richard W. E. Georges, PhD, has made history as the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College’s (HLSCC) youngest President and the first alumnus to ever serve in the office, a press release from HLSCC today, February 1, 2021, stated.

Mrs Parsons pleads for help to complete building for Heritage Dancers

Parsons was not too proud to use the occasion to make an impassioned plea to Premier Dr The Honourable D. Orlando Smith to help the Heritage Dancers get their building "off the ground".

Inez Brathwaite to be awarded the BVI Badge of Honour
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – His Excellency the Governor, after consultation with the Premier, Dr. the Hon. D. Orlando Smith, OBE and the Leader of the Opposition, Honourable Ralph T. O’ Neal, OBE accepted the recommendation of the BVI Honours Committee and is pleased to announce that Mrs. Inez Brathwaite will be awarded the BVI Badge of Honour at an Investiture Ceremony this week.
