Officials to formulate 'response' should school shootings occur in VI– Premier
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Virgin Islands (VI) Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) says although the VI has never dealt with incidents such as school shootings, there is a need to adequately prepare for such given global trends.

Education Ministry to focus on Reading for 2012/13 school year
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- During a meeting held with teachers of the territory and Education Officials, Acting Chief Education Officer (CEO) Jillian Douglas-Phillip, in realizing that the reading skills of the territory’s students aren’t on the level they should be, stated that one of this year’s aim for the Education Ministry is to focus on reading in the schools to improve literacy in the territory.
