Additional consultations being made to address Register of Interest Act – Archer Jr
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Acting Governor Mr David D. Archer Jr says following the reading of the Register of Interest Amendment Bill, 2024 on March, 7, 2024 the Office of the Deputy Governor has now begun additional consultation to address issues raised in the sitting of the House.

CoI: Registrar of Interests ‘begged’ for compliance from Dr Smith's NDP
WICKHAM’S CAY II, Tortola, VI – During the morning session of the Virgin Islands Commission of Inquiry (CoI) hearing Day 13, on June 17, 2021, the Commission heard that regarding compliance to the Register of Interests Act, 2006, under the previous Dr D. Orlando Smith-led National Democratic Party (NDP) administration (2011-2019), the then Registrar Mrs Victoreen Romney-Varlack had to beg for compliance over several years, to no avail.
deCastro questions purpose of Register of Interest Act
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Donald deCastro, speaking on his radio programme ‘Night Talk’ aired November 15, 2011, has questioned the Register of Interest Act # 5 of 2006, which mandates members of the House of Assembly to declare their assets, since it is not a public document.
