ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Vessel operators and maritime stakeholders across the Virgin Islands (VI) have been reminded that the reporting of marine accidents and incidents is a legal requirement under the Virgin Islands Merchant Shipping (Accident Reporting and Investigation) Regulations, 2020.

Investigation reveals ‘several safety factors’ associated with ‘MV Mojaito’ collision
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- An investigation by the Marine Safety Investigation and Reporting Authority (MSIRA) into the collision involving the motor vessel, 'MV Mojaito', revealed several safety factors associated with the incident. The collision occurred on the night of July 26, 2025, in the Sir Francis Drake Channel, south of Brandywine Bay, Tortola.

SETTING POINT, Anegada, VI- The catamaran that sank off Anegada on Sunday, July 6, 2025, reportedly struck a reef after exiting the Anegada Channel, the Marine Safety Investigation and Reporting Authority (MSIRA) of the Premier's Office has disclosed.
