Opposition proposes gov’t borrows to tackle infrastructure, slow economy & crime
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI– Leader of the Opposition Hon Ronnie W. Skelton (AL), on behalf of the Members of the Opposition, has proposed the Government and Opposition work together to find ways to address economic and other challenges affecting the people of the Virgin Islands, including borrowing money to fix infrastructure.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Admitting that the Government of the Virgin Islands is strapped for cash to execute all of its plans and projects and will need to borrow at some point, Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) has said it will be done in a responsible manner and not jeopardise the territory.
