DDM monitoring tropical wave in Atlantic
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Department of Disaster Management (DDM) says a tropical wave located over the eastern tropical Atlantic continues to produce a large area of disorganised showers and thunderstorms.
Elsa now a Category 1 hurricane
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Tropical Storm Elsa strengthened into a hurricane early Friday, July 2, 2021, and it still has Florida in sight for early next week, although the National Hurricane Center stressed that the forecast is uncertain this far out.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI– Two weather disturbances are being monitored in the Atlantic, the Department of Disaster Management (DDM) stated on August 9, 2020, adding that one was highlighted in its August 7, 2020, update and another just recently formed not too far from the African Coast.
