Guyanese woman freed of gun & ammo charges
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Lynette Sommersall, a Guyana national living in the Virgin Islands for over 20 years, was today, April 23, 2024, acquitted of firearm and ammunition charges stemming from an incident that occurred in 2021.
Acquitted policeman seeking to have charges struck out from records
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Jamaica national Shawn Henry, the only policeman acquitted in the 2019 court matter where he and two others – Pamphill Prevost and Simon Power – were allegedly linked to missing money while they were executing search operations while on police duty between January 2012 to July 2014, is now seeking to have his record cleared in the judicial system.
Khoy Frett, Wilbert Donovan & Suruj Persaud acquitted
ROAD TOWN Tortola, VI - Local Proprietor Khoy Frett who was charged with Wilbert Donovan and Suruj Persaud with being concerned with the supply of a controlled drug [2.52 kilo grams of cannabis]; importation of a controlled drug; and unlawful possession of cannabis were all acquitted this morning November 14, 2014.
