ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- A local entertainer, band manager and businessman has urged local entertainers to stop the blame game and work together on bettering their music in order to reap the rewards at the level they so desire.
Hon Walwyn blames Premier Smith for Festival payment issues
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Controversial Culture Minister, Honourable Myron V. Walwyn (AL) is not shouldering all the blame for the continuing issues of long waits for festival vendors to be paid, as he has told reporters that Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr The Honourable D. Orlando Smith (AL) and his other ministers of Government are the ones to be blamed.
Local bands unite '2 Mek Dem Dance’
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The rivalry sometimes seen among local bands was put aside as band members united to give their fans a grand time at the event dubbed ‘Bands to Mek Dem Dance’ at the Tortola Pier Park on April 16, 2016.
Local entertainers still not paid for Festival 2015
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Almost half a year since they performed at Festival 2015, local bands who graced the stages of the various Festivilles have yet to receive all of their monies from Government. According to reports some have been paid for performances outside of Road Town while others have not received a dime.
‘Play more Christmas music!’ - 3D Show caller
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – A caller to the 3D Show hosted by Doug Wheatley on Friday evening December 18, 2015 lamented that for the Christmas season, musical bands and DJs in the territory are not playing Christmas music unless specifically requested to do so.
The bands really made them dance!
BAUGHERS BAY, Tortola, VI - There was no doubt that the objectives were achieved last night July 20, 2013 as persons turned out in their numbers to dance to music provided by a number of local bands- and dance they did.
