USVI: New poll shows Vialet ahead in Governor race

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, USVI- A new public opinion poll in the U.S. Virgin Islands shows Senator Kurt Vialet narrowly leading a hypothetical gubernatorial field, with Delegate to Congress Stacey Plaskett close behind and “Other Candidate/Not Listed” running a strong third, while economy and jobs and healthcare and hospital care emerged as the top issues facing the territory.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - A war of words have erupted over a poll conducted in the Virgin Islands (VI) by the Barbados based firm Caribbean Development Research Services (CADRES) owned and operated by Peter W. Wickham and local radio commentator and former Managing Director of the BVI Ports Authority (BVIPA), Claude O. Skelton-Cline.
