Loaded firearm seized in daylight stop/search operation
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – During a stop/search operation, officers from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force uncovered a loaded firearm with several rounds of ammunition after a search of scooter rider revealed the illegal weapon.
UPDATE: Police charge two in firearm seizure
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Police officially charged Antonio Stoutt, 25, of Horse Path and Edwin Ortiz, 23, of Great Mountain for carrying an unlicensed firearm. Both appeared in Magistrate’s Court and were each given $65,000 bail with $5,000 to be presented in cash.
