ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – As the members of House of Assembly (HoA) continued to debate the Bill entitled 'Virgin Islands Recovery and Development Agency Act 2018', Opposition Leader Honourable Andrew A. Fahie (R1) stated that the United Kingdom is setting up the Virgin Islands (VI) to borrow money despite it being a violation of the Protocols for Effective Financial Management (PEFM) signed between the VI and the United Kingdom (UK).
Premier Smith admits to not following Financial Management Protocol
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – During the Question and Answer Segment of the Third Sitting of the Third Session of the Third House of Assembly today, March 22, 2018, Honourable Julian Fraser RA, Third District Representative, grilled Dr The Honourable D. Orlando Smith (AL), Premier and Minister of Finance, if his government has been managing the financial affairs of the territory in accordance with the Protocol for Effective Financial Management (PEFM).

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Due to the lengthy session last Friday June 29, 2012, several motions, including one for the review of the Effective Financial Management Protocols, which was signed on April 23, 2012 between Premier Dr. D Orlando Smith and United Kingdom's MP Henry Bellingham, will be heard today July 3, 2012 in the House of Assembly (HOA).
