USVI man shot in VI charged for murder, assault & gun possession
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The United States Virgin Islands (USVI) wanted man, Tahira Charles, who sustained a gunshot wound to the hand on July 31, 2016 on the dual carriageway at Wickham’s Cay II, Tortola, has been slapped with a string of charges in the USVI, including for first-degree murder.
UPDATE: Escaped illegal immigrant still on the run
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Virgin Islands News Online has been reliably informed that up to today May 28, 2016 the escaped illegal immigrant who bolted from security officers on Wednesday May 25, 2016 is still on the run.
Illegal immigrants repatriated to Haiti - Ian B. Penn
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Acting Chief Immigration Officer Ian B. Penn has confirmed that the illegal immigrants caught in the territory's waters on April 28, 2016 were on May 5, 2016 put on a flight to Haiti.
UPDATE: All 27 illegal immigrants caught on Peter Island repatriated
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The illegal immigrants caught on Peter Island over a week ago have all been repatriated, with the two Cubans taken back to their country on Friday March 22, according to Chief Immigration Officer, Mr Dennis Jennings.
