USVI Governor tests Positive for Covid-19

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI- US Virgin Islands (USVI) Governor Albert A. Bryan Jr tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday, January 9, 2023, Government House has announced. The positive test result precluded Mr Bryan from attending the swearing-in ceraemony of the 35th Legislature on Monday.

Mapp approves $1M appropriation for St Croix hotel project

Mapp approved Bill No. 31-0375, repealing Act No. 7730 relating to the appropriation of $1M in connection with the litigation between the Government of the [US] Virgin Islands and the former owners of HOVENSA, and re-appropriating the $1M to the Virgin Islands Public Finance Authority (P.F.A.) for professional services, studies, project development and expenses related to the St. Croix Brand Hotel Project.
