Incinerator workers want more money & interaction with Minister
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - "We are the ones doing the dirty work to keep this British Virgin Islands clean and everyday you can hear the minister going all over, having this and that conference, meetings and workshops with other workers but they are not coming to us down here, yes because this is the place that handling the nasty stuff, their shirt and tie too clean to come here," said a worker attached to the the Solid Waste Municipal Incinerator Plant.
Several 'heads' unable to effectively manage units- PWD 2011 Report
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- “Management realise that several section heads did not have the requisite knowledge and experience in management to enable them to effectively manage their units.” This was a confession made by Mr. Jeffrey Skelton, Director of the Public Works Department of the Ministry of Communications and Works in his 2011 Annual Report.
