State of Emergency ends midnight, curfew to continue
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The State of Emergency called by Governor Augustus J. U. Jaspert a day after Hurricane Irma devastated the Virgin Islands on September 6, 2017 will end at midnight, however, the curfew will remain in place until Government sees it necessary to lift.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Tenth Sitting of the Second Session of the Third House of Assembly will be held today, October 5, 2017 at the Save the Seed Energy Centre at Duff's Bottom, on the main island of Tortola, instead of Ritter House on Wickham's Cay II.

And it did not stop Saturday. As reporters gathered at Government House for a press conference with acting Gov. Osbert E. Potter concerning the tide of violence that had spread across St. Croix, reports came in of another shooting that had just taken place on Queen Mary Highway near the red light by St. Croix Central High School – another car riddled with bullets, another young man hit by several bullets and in serious condition.
