ROAD ROWN, Tortola, VI - Gerard Huggins, who was facing alleged charges in connection with the Road Town Station attack of November 24, 2010, is now a free man after his trial came to an abrupt end following a no case submission by his lawyer this afternoon May 16, 2012.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Referring to the situation yesterday May 1, 2012, where it was disclosed that one of the alleged Road Town Police Station attackers was yet to be assigned a legal aid lawyer which resulted in the hold-up of the case, Judge Albert Redhead said it is “wasting the court’s time” and instructed that Ramon George be assigned a lawyer by May 8, 2012 – the day that has been set for the arraignment of the three alleged attackers.
Kareem Simon sentenced to 8 years in jail
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Kareem Simon, who pleaded guilty to the charge of aggravated burglary after it was reported that he and others allegedly stormed the Road Town Police Station on November 2010, has been sentenced to 8 years in prison.
