Venezuelans nabbed near USVI sentenced for conspiracy to possess cocaine

ST. CROIX, USVI - United States Attorney Delia L. Smith announced today that Francisco Rodriguez-Infante, age 28, and Johnny Rodriguez-Rodriguez, age 30, two of eleven Venezuelan nationals apprehended at sea off the coast of St. Croix, were sentenced on Thursday to 41 months imprisonment followed by 2 years supervised release.

Bail set for USVI man who allegedly kidnapped & strangled ex-girlfriend

CHRISTIANSTED, Sr. Croix - Bail has been set for a man accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend and driving her to a location against her will. Chesney Southwell Jr., age 22, was recently arrested on charges of simple assault and battery, false imprisonment and kidnapping, grand larceny and second-degree assault as an act of domestic violence.
