Hyndman calls on VI to rally around Sharie deCastro from now
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Former Miss British Virgin Islands, Abigail F. Hyndman, who recently brought much recognition for the Territory at the Miss Universe Pageant 2012 where she placed in the Top Ten in the Costume Segment has called on Virgin Islanders to rally around their queen Miss Sharie B. deCastro so that she could achieve more than her at the next global pageant.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – “I had a costume designer who personally came to me and said ‘your girl is fabulous’...The director for the Miss Universe pageant she came to me and told me that the MSNBC did a call to do an interview with Abigail in reference to her Bio which was awesome.” so said Chairperson of the Miss BVI Pageant Committee, Alicia Hamm in an exclusive interview with Virgin Islands News Online.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – She may not have won the scores from fan votes and that of the judges to take her into the top sixteen at the Miss Universe Pageant 2012, but her costume which give her an “aquatic look”, was gallantly displayed and promoted and gave her sufficient points to make it among the top ten best costumes for the universal pageant.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Although not getting into specifics, Miss BVI 2012/2013 Sharie deCastro issued a written statement yesterday, November 29, 2012 in which she stated that a recent publication had inaccurately characterized her position on prizes awarded to her by the Virgin Islands Festival and Fairs Committee (VIF&F).
