ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – A number of prison officers have come in for recognition for their efforts in preventing a recent stabbing incident from escalating at Her Majesty’s Prison and for their part played in the recapture of an inmate that had escaped from the facility.

HMP admonished to hire locally

Walwyn this morning, February 21, 2013 admonished that those conducting interviews to fill vacancies at Her Majesty Prison (HMP) to do everything possible to hire locally. ROAD TOWN, Tortola VI- The late Superintendent of Prisons Richard Dacosta Holder was laid to rest today December 19, 2012 amid glowing tributes from the upper echelon of society including Premier Dr the Honourable D. Orlando Smith and Governor Boyd McCleary.
UPDATE: Funeral date for Richard Holder still unknown
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Almost three weeks since well known Superintendent of Prisons Richard Holder passed away, no funeral date has yet been confirmed for his burial. Mr Holder died on November 24, 2012.
