Chesterfield sentenced to 5 years, 8 months in Federal Prison

ST THOMAS, USVI—Former Government House Security Officer, Neal Chesterfield, 41, was sentenced before District Judge Curtis Gomez to 70 months incarceration for his conviction of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine, United States Attorney Gretchen Shappert, announced Thursday, June 14, 2018. Gomez also sentenced Chesterfield to five years of supervised release and $100 special assessment.

CHRISTIANSTED, St Croix, USVI - Former Department of Planning and Natural Resources Officer Gerald Mercer, 43, was found guilty by a jury in federal court on Thursday, May 31, 2018, before District Judge Curtis Gomez of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute not less than 50 and not more than 150 kilograms of cocaine, United States Attorney Gretchen Shappert announced today.

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI - Filiberto Moreno, 50, of Mexico, was arrested today on a complaint charging him with illegal reentry into the United States, United States Attorney Gretchen C.F. Shappert announced. Moreno made his initial appearance before Magistrate Judge Ruth Miller and was detained pending further proceedings.
