Close to 5000 take to streets in Decision March 2018

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Outspoken resident and political aspirant Julian Willock has again thrown his full support behind the May 24, 2018 march to demonstrate the people’s displeasure with an amendment to the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Bill passed in the House of Commons demanding that only Overseas Territories located in the Caribbean operate registers of beneficial ownership.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- In response to the recent decision in The United Kingdom’s (UK) House of Commons to make public the register of Beneficial Owners for companies in their Overseas Territories (OTs), a group of residents has formed a committee and, with government’s and other stakeholders' participation, are planning a public demonstration in the form of a march.
UK vote for public registry ‘racist & economic terrorism’- John I. Cline
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Chairman of the BVI Christian Council and Bishop of New Life Baptist Church in Duff’s Bottom, John I. Cline, has labeled the vote by the United Kingdom’s House of Commons to allow for public registry of who owns and will benefit from offshore accounts in its Caribbean Overseas Territories as “racist and economic terrorism.”
UPDATE: Protest action awaiting police permission
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Organisers are currently awaiting feedback from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) with regard to whether they will receive permission to proceed with what has now evolved into a protest motorcade on issues related to the economy and current cruise pier development negotiations.
