TRC did not require Digicel to withdraw Caribbean plans

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - On June 1, 2012, the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (“TRC”) issued Final Decisions to Digicel (BVI) and to LIME (BVI) under Section 75 of the Telecommunications Act upon the conclusion of an investigation into allegations of anti-competitive conduct made by CCT against both Digicel (BVI) and LIME (BVI) in the market for mobile voice calls from the BVI to specific Caribbean destinations.

HOA approves Ayana Hull-Brathwaite as new TRC chairman

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Second House of Assembly (HOA) has approved the appointment of Attorney At Law Ayana Hull-Braithwaite as Chairman of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) in the Virgin Islands for a period of three (3) years with effect from December 15, 2011.
