ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Filipino community proudly joined thousands of revelers in the 72nd Emancipation Festival Parade in the Virgin Islands, celebrating freedom, heritage, unity, and cultural diversity. With the Philippine flag held high and smiles on their faces, participants represented the Philippines with pride as they took part in one of the territory’s most vibrant cultural events.

Celebrating unity & culture 

The parade brought together people from across the Virgin Islands and several cultural communities, turning the streets into a colourful display of tradition and togetherness. Filipino participants added to the festive spirit as they marched alongside others in celebration of emancipation and shared identity.

Their presence highlighted the growing diversity of the Virgin Islands and the important role of the Filipino community in the territory’s social and cultural life.  

Proud representation

Holding the Philippine flag high, the Filipino participants expressed pride in their roots while embracing the spirit of the celebration. Their smiles and energetic participation reflected both national pride and appreciation for the VI community that welcomed them.

The 72nd Emancipation Festival Parade once again stood as a powerful symbol of freedom and cultural pride, drawing people together in celebration of history, identity, and community spirit.
