Female reportedly injured after vehicle turns turtle @ Fat Hogs Bay

FAT HOGS BAY, Tortola, VI – Information just coming into Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) is that a female reportedly sustained injuries after her vehicle overturned in Fat Hogs Bay on the eastern end of Tortola, this afternoon, Friday, October 15, 2021.

Sources told our news center that the woman was rushed to the Dr D Orlando Hospital following the accident.

It remains unclear how the vehicle turned turtle, and whether another vehicle was involved in the crash.

VINO will bring more information as it becomes available.

    That off duty police officer who pull her out of the vehicle must commended he just happened to be passing moments after the accident and checking to see if anyone was inside. I came also and heard a woman screaming that officer rush and with help he took the woman out of the vehicle place her at the roadside she was balling in pain the officer calm her down and stayed with til the ambulance and the police arrive. He did a great job and should be commended. Thank you officer.

    Look at all the bushes from hodges creek to fat hogs bay. Maybe she could not see clearly with all those overhanging bushes on the highway.
