FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI - A somber mood envelops the community as the V.I. Police Department reports a tragic event that occurred on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.

At approximately 10:19 a.m., officers from the Wilbur Francis Command Patrol were dispatched to the scene in Estate Little Fountain following an emergency call.

Upon arrival, the officers were confronted with a distressing scene. An unresponsive 71-year-old male was found lying in a driveway, having suffered severe injuries.

The preliminary investigation into the incident revealed a heartbreaking turn of events.

The elderly man, identified by his next of kin as Mr. Terry Stephen Watson, had attempted to stop a moving vehicle that began to roll downhill.

In a tragic twist, the vehicle rolled over Mr. Watson, resulting in fatal injuries.

    That's life / all we are is dust ( inda ) wind , we didn't bring anything here and we won't be taking anything when we leaving here / our turn behind , and we know not the hour , that's why it's good to live good and do the right thing

      @ HMM: True out body is most dust, but we are also beautiful creatures of our Creator. In the business of life or for other reasons, we should highly regard the life of our neighbors.
      You could instead have extended condolence to his grieving family members, but you chose not to do so.

      Family members, close friends, and other who know the immeasurable value of life, I humble offer my condolences to you of the loss of life life of Mr. Watson. May God heal you of the pains that you are now feeling.
