Dwynel D. Davis wins VI Adult Spell-Off 2025

PARAQUITA BAY, Tortola, VI- Dwynel D. Davis emerged the top speller when the 4th edition of The VI Adult Spell-Off was held at Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium, H. Lavity Stoutt Community College, in Paraquita Bay on Saturday, August 30, 2025.

Davis walked away with the Spell-Off Trophy, a Gold Medallion, Participation Certificate, $1500 cash, Cape Air round-trip tickets for two, Driftwood Spa certificate valued at $200 and Wall Art from Khaptured Photography.

Carolyn E. Stoutt-Igwe, a Permanent Secretary with the Government of the Virgin Islands, was second.

Igwe received a Silver Medallion, Participation Certificate, $800 cash, a 2-night stay for two at Leverick Bay Resort on Virgin Gorda, a 50” Television from SNS Shipping, and a Trefle gift certificate valued $150.

Third was Kishma V.S. Penn, who won the Bronze Medallion, Participation Certificate, $500 cash, FlyBVI round-trip to Anegada for 4, Virgin Canopy tour for 4 and a Delish Desserts gift certificate.

Rosan pulls out!

Eusa Z. Adams and Aaron F. Parillon tied for Fourth place. Adams entered the competition in place of Rosemary Lucina Rosan, who pulled out at the last minute.

Both Adams and Parillon won a $150.00 Gift Certificate from RiteWay and One Mart.

Monies raised from the VI Adult Spell-Off 2025 will be donated to the Virgin Islands School of Technical Studies (VISTS).

    I went just to see this lady embarrass herself and didn’t show up! SMH! Well it’s more embarrassing that she pulled out last minute but true fact - she was never going to in the first place.
