Disgruntled customer throws food @ Yo Mama Kitchen staff

The food van is located on Wickham’s Cay I, close to Central Administration Complex and adjacent to the Tortola Pier Park.
The young entrepreneur started out in 2013 with ice-cream and other local drinks, but five years later, has turned the business into a very attractive place with a solid menu of local foods, well cooked and with great portions.
It was on Saturday May 19, 2018 around 2:30 PM that a disgruntled customer, who is said to be a Jamaican national, placed an order by telephone but had issues with it on arrival to uplift. According to an eyewitness, who spoke to our newsroom, the woman, who is said to be a small business owner, was offered a replacement by staff at Yo Mama Kitchen in the most professional way.
She threw food @ staff
The out of control women, who police sources identified as a Ms. N. Facey, reportedly began to shout expletives at the Yo Mama Kitchen staff and proceeded to throw the order she picked up at them.
The situation escalated and police were called as the woman tried to leave the place of business. The owner of the business made many attempts to resolve the situation and even attempted to prevent the woman from leaving while the police were on their way; however, she entered her car and left the scene.
Persons in the immediate area videotaped the incident that is now circulating on social media. It is believed that a day before the same Ms Facey had another confrontation with a woman at her place of business. Full details of that is unclear but police were also called and both women made a visit to Peebles Hospital.
Yo Mama Kitchen has since posted apologies to their many customers over the incident. Many persons have pledged to continue supporting the establishment.
Police have not responded to inquiries as whether the woman will be charged.

How the likes of her get business here I would like to know.
Everyone is going through something these days. She was wrong for what she did.She better be glad I was not the employee she spaz out on. That food van have some of the best food in the BVI. If you are dissatisfy with the order, act like a human should act and I am quite sure it would have been corrected.
On one hand, please work on customer service training in order to reduce these incidents, Yo Mama. On the other hand, customers, please respect these businesses and yourselves. If you're not pleased with something, disengage and discontinue patronizing after respectfully voicing your displeasure, until conditions improve.
I personally respect that the proprietors did not retaliate physically, especially since the customer assaulted da mama, because I could not exercise that kind of restraint.
They could’ve taken her license plate info, they (YMK) escalated the situation by playing citizen cops. Tortola is so dang small, it’s not like she would hide and the ‘food assault’ did not warrant the display seen there. Imagine if other businesses displayed the same level towards disgruntled clients.....are we now a litigation society?
The food ain’t all that ayo making it out to be!! The wait is also lengthy and if your order is wrong the attitude displayed and the wait is enough to test even Job!! Better food and service out here - bet if it was an expat vs expat or Vislander vs expat the majority of y’all would be commenting differently. Sh*** happens get over it!
Listen this lady needs to be sent back to her own country where she can obviously behave in this and get away with it (yeah right) Hog know where to root!
Whoever does patronize her little business needs to stop and for the Tortola idiot that helped her get the trade license you need to go back to Jamaica with her and see what she can do for you!
