ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Information just reaching our newsroom is that local businesswoman and sports organiser, Dawn F. Crabbe-Herbert has been tipped to chair the Recreation Trust of the Virgin Islands.

Once confirmed, Crabbe-Herbert will replace Mr Roy N. Barry, who was appointed chairman in September 2012, taking over from Mr Ishmael Scatliffe who served from 2004.

Cabinet was reportedly slated to decide on the recommendation last week and Virgin Islands News Online will provide an update once information is received.

Why do we even have a recreation trust? Could we not get better value and actually get the parks and sports complex looked after another way because it does F all. No maintance happens, it always says it's broke. It's a joke.
