EAST END, Tortola, VI- The East End Police Station will remain closed "until further notice" as renovation work continues.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has informed the public of the police station’s closure from May 29, 2026, for an initial period of one month. In an update on July 10, 2026, the RVIPF said further renovation works continue, forcing the East End Police Station to remain closed.

According to the RVIPF, the closure is necessary to facilitate ongoing interior renovation works, which require staff to vacate the building while the upgrades are carried out.

The RVIPF apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked the public for their continued patience, understanding, and cooperation while work on the East End Police Station is completed.

RVIPF is partnering with the necessary parties

The RVIPF added that to ensure that policing services remain easily accessible to residents, the force partnered with District 8 Representative Hon Marlon A. Penn, Minister for Health and Social Development Hon Vincent O. Wheatley (R9), and the Social Development Department to implement a temporary solution for the community.

Effective Monday, July 13, 2026, officers assigned to the East End Policing District will be temporarily based at the East End/Long Look Community Centre. There, members of the public can visit to report incidents, seek assistance, or speak with officers.

In addition, officers will continue to conduct regular patrols throughout the East End community to ensure the continued safety and security of residents and visitors.

Members of the public requiring immediate police assistance may also continue to contact officers directly at 368-9415 or through the Non-Emergency number 311.

The RVIPF expressed appreciation to Hon Penn, Hon Wheatley, the Ministry of Health and Social Development, and the Department of Social Development for their support and collaboration in ensuring policing services remain accessible during this period.
