Civl War
Today, pundits and intellectuals in the west predict civil war in the next few years. This civil war will engulf the USA, UK, and much of Western Europe. It will be war between the far right, far-right fascists and left wing combatants – add Islamists. War will confine to the west. It is different from China invading Taiwan.
Now, civil war is a serious matter. It is a vast tragedy. It is war within a national border, neighbour against neighbour, even brother against brother. It is nastier than conventional war.
Why is civil war a major news story in the West? One major reason is the rise of the Make America Great Again Movement in the USA, which is offering great encouragement to far-right parties and movements in Europe.
MAGA is a movement driven by two factors: the first is a collapse in trust for government and related institutions. There is the belief that existing political and social authority is unable to bring about the type of consequential change desired
to create a fair playing field.
The second is fear of dark skin people, especially recent migrants. Some term it the Great Replacement Theory. This is a belief that there is a deliberate attempt to replace white populations in the USA and Europe with non-white people. Elites who may believe a non-homogeneous population better serves their business and financial interests drive this idea, it is stated.
At the root is an invasion of cultures and values that have originally been predominantly white and Anglo-Saxon, from new cultures that are far different, especially Middle Eastern, Islamic, and African? Multiculturalism – pundits assert- has been the vehicle that has destroyed the dominant white culture: the white nation.
Civil war inflicted on society by both the Far Right and the far Left clashing is on the cards. These two ideologies and cultures are diametrically opposed to one another today. Both sides have sufficient resources to create havoc. There is no meeting place, and negotiation appears to be out the window.
The preceding factors for predicting civil war are not simply vectors in the USA: they are Western European vectors too.
However, there are additional factors in deciding whether civil war is on the cards in the West. The financial nature of the Western economy, the rise of a digital oligarchy that exists in its own parallel universe, and the consequent rise in inequality, where a handful of families possess more wealth than over 90% of the population of the developed West, is another cause for conflict. Intellectuals have warned in decades past that Inequality was a driver of instability on the Western street.
What inequality has done is two things. Inequality has destroyed the key class that drives social stability- the middle class.
Then, vast inequality creates a mass of disgruntled and angry white working-class people, easy prey to the wiles and toxic words of populists and demagogues who spread hate and confusion. The result is MAGA in the USA, Right Wing Movements in Europe, and the rise of authoritarians on the Western streets. It takes a single spark to light the fire:

For years, the left openly celebrated what they called demographic “replacement theory,” until they realized it had awakened white voters and sent them in droves to the MAGA movement. The United States is still a majority-white country — shrinking, yes, but still about 64%. And yet, this same electorate twice elected a Black man as president. Black men make up roughly 6.5% of the population, and the total Black population about 13%. Clearly, it wasn’t the Black vote alone that put Barack Obama in office — the math simply doesn’t add up.
In their supposed moral clarity, the left decided that all white people were inherently racist and overreached on nearly every policy front. The result was predictable: large numbers of disillusioned voters crossed over to the MAGA camp, not out of hatred, but out of exhaustion with being mischaracterized and dismissed.
