BVIEC’s online payment portal back online

The online portal was placed offline on October 2, 2025, for upgrades to the platform; however, some customers voiced concerns that they were unable to pay bills through the options given to either pay in person at one of the BVIEC’s offices or through the CIBC Caribbean App.
The BVIEC thanked customers for their patience and understanding as the territory’s sole electricity company works to improve its online services.
“We’ve listened to your feedback and are pleased to share that, effective today, our Online Payment Portal is back online to make bill payments more convenient for you,” the BVIEC said in a statement on Thursday, October 9, 2025.
Minor interruptions may be experienced
While the online payment portal is back online, the upgrades have not been completed, and so customers may encounter minor interruptions or slower responses from time to time.
“This is part of the ongoing upgrade process as we work behind the scenes to improve overall performance,” the statement added.
These enhancements to the online payment platform will provide a more reliable platform, smoother transactions and an improved overall experience for customers, according to the BVIEC.
A timeline for the completion of the upgrades was not given.
“We truly appreciate your continued support and cooperation as we modernise our digital platforms to serve you better,” the company added.
