Bidens choose St. Croix again for new year; Bryan expresses gratitude

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, ST Thomas, USVI - In a statement released Wednesday, Governor Albert Bryan Jr. expressed his immense pride and gratitude as he welcomed President Joseph R. Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden to the island of St. Croix for their stay on Wednesday — the second straight year the Bidens are ringing in the new year on the Big Island.

Governor Bryan highlighted the significance of the presidential visit, stating, "Today, it is with immense pride and profound gratitude that we welcome President Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden to the beautiful island of St. Croix." He emphasized that the visit is not just a proud moment for St. Croix but for the entire U.S. Virgin Islands community.

Mr. Bryan pointed out that President Biden's decision to choose St. Croix as a destination for relaxation underscores the island's unique charm and warmth. "Their visit marks a significant and proud moment not only for the residents of St. Croix but for the entire U.S. Virgin Islands community," he said.

He also expressed his appreciation for President Biden's ongoing support and commitment to the U.S. Virgin Islands. Governor Bryan remarked, "We are always thankful for President Biden's support and commitment to our islands, and it is an honor to host him and the First Lady."

Governor Bryan's statement further noted that the visit of President Biden and the First Lady reinforces the strong bond between the U.S. Virgin Islands and the rest of the United States. "Their presence here reinforces the strong bond between our U.S. Virgin Islands and the rest of the United States," he stated.

Mr. Bryan concluded his statement by expressing his delight in sharing the best of St. Croix's culture, hospitality, and natural beauty with the president and first lady.

    No body comes to the bvi

      A lot of people come to the BVI but you simply do not hear about them. For example, last year, The Hon. Eric Adams, Mayor of New York City was in the BVI. NBA Commissioner, Adam Silver was in the BVI last year - also, Mogul rapper P. Diddy/ Sean Combs was in the BVI. Finally, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos's yacht was in the BVI - a good chance that he was on the boat also - not certain. Would be very difficult for a sitting U.S. President to visit the BVI due to the lack of a much longer runway for a direct landing, coupled with all of the required logistics of U.S. Secret Service, FBI and other required logistical support needed for a sitting U.S. President.

      Because they get charged $800 per person to enter and cruise the islands! It’s getting old and other options available rather than pay the free the drew fund!

      Last week alone, Jeff Bezos, owner of Amazon had his 3 boats here, Kevin Coster, award winning actor was at Necker island, Jules , grammy winning singer was here. Change your name to POOR ME as you need to get out more.

    At least usvi Police will have a significant presence island-wide throughout New Year’s weekend so crime will be low
