Bidens choose St. Croix again for new year; Bryan expresses gratitude
CHARLOTTE AMALIE, ST Thomas, USVI - In a statement released Wednesday, Governor Albert Bryan Jr. expressed his immense pride and gratitude as he welcomed President Joseph R. Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden to the island of St. Croix for their stay on Wednesday — the second straight year the Bidens are ringing in the new year on the Big Island.
Governor Bryan highlighted the significance of the presidential visit, stating, "Today, it is with immense pride and profound gratitude that we welcome President Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden to the beautiful island of St. Croix." He emphasized that the visit is not just a proud moment for St. Croix but for the entire U.S. Virgin Islands community.
Mr. Bryan pointed out that President Biden's decision to choose St. Croix as a destination for relaxation underscores the island's unique charm and warmth. "Their visit marks a significant and proud moment not only for the residents of St. Croix but for the entire U.S. Virgin Islands community," he said.
He also expressed his appreciation for President Biden's ongoing support and commitment to the U.S. Virgin Islands. Governor Bryan remarked, "We are always thankful for President Biden's support and commitment to our islands, and it is an honor to host him and the First Lady."
Governor Bryan's statement further noted that the visit of President Biden and the First Lady reinforces the strong bond between the U.S. Virgin Islands and the rest of the United States.
