Alexander & Creque overall winners of Mourant College Classic Series on VG

VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI– The 28th Mourant HLSCC College Classic Race Series concluded its 2023 “Fun Run Edition” this past Saturday, November 11, 2023, on Virgin Gorda with the final race of the season.

John Alexander clocking 13 minutes 10.62 seconds was the overall winner capturing his second win during the Virgin Gorda “fun runs”. He was followed by veteran to the races, Curwin Andrews and 2023 new-comer Roshan Boyce respectively.

The top female places were captured by a field of up-and-coming under-13 girls. Kaeja Creque of Raw Skillz Track Club took the win for the females in a time of 15 minutes 22.36 seconds, followed by Azariah George and Sam’Asia Leonard (Raw Skillz) respectively.

Valley Sound Lions acknowledged

Race Director, Mrs Stephanie Russ-Penn expressed congratulations to all who participated in this year’s event on behalf of the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College.

Mrs. Russ-Penn extended an extra special appreciation to the Valley Sound Lions for their years of commitment to this event and shared that HLSCC partnered with the Valley Sound Lions as participants also walked/ran to promote diabetes awareness.

The HLSCC College Classics Race Series would not be possible without its main sponsor Mourant and its water sponsor Blu Water, the Valley Sound Lions, all the volunteers, media support, and the assistance and support of the HLSCC Family.
