Adaejah T. Hodge sets new 400M NR

-also holds 100M & 200M national records

CORAL GABLES, Florida, USA- Virgin Islands sprinter Adaejah T. Hodge set a new 400 meters National Record at the recent Hurricane Invitational in Florida with a time of 51.24 seconds.

Not only did Hodge set a new national record, but she also won the race, which was her first outdoor meet of the season. 

The Hurricane Invitational is a premier early-season outdoor track and field meet featuring top collegiate programs with high-level performances in sprints, hurdles, and field events.

A freshman at the University of Georgia, Hodge’s time ranks sixth in the university’s history and serves as the 2026 NCAA lead.

Hodge now holds the three Virgin Islands (VI) National Record titles, having previously set the 100 meters and 200 meters National Records. 

Deya Erickson shaves seconds off her 100M Hurdles record

Meanwhile, Deya Erickson set a new 100 meter Hurdles National Record with a time of 13.26 seconds. 

Erickson shaved seconds off the title, which she had previously set in July 2025, at the UCF Knights Invite in Florida on Saturday, March 28, 2026.  

Deya had a 13.18s (+2.1m/s) finish in the finals of the event.
