70% chance of showers across VI today- DDM

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The presence of a weak frontal trough across the area and its associated moisture and instability, coupled with light winds and daytime heating will increase the chances for cloudiness and shower activity over and around the Virgin Islands during the next 24 hours.

This is according to the Department of Disaster Management (DDM) today, March 17, 2023.

Weather today: Partly cloudy skies, with periods of increased cloudiness and a 70 percent or high chance of showers.

Weather tonight: Partly cloudy skies with a 40 percent or moderate chance of showers mainly before midnight.

Winds: Northeast at 13 to 30 km/h or 8 to 18 mph with lighter spells at times.

Seas: 2.1 ot 3.1 metres or 7 to 10 feet with swells reaching 2.8 metres or 9 feet. 

Sunset today: 6:29 PM.
