2 arrested & charged following Rise & Shine Tramp altercation

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) reports that investigations into a physical altercation that occurred during the Rise and Shine Tramp on August 4, 2026, have resulted in the arrest and charging of two individuals

Police in a press release today, August 21, 2026, said that following inquiries into the incident, officers charged Raykoy Larch, 20, of Long Bush, with Wounding and Armed with an Offensive Weapon, and Makai Francis, 26, of Little Dix Hill, with Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm.

The RVIPF has reiterated its commitment to public safety and ensuring peace during public festivities.

Other incidents during festival being investigated

It said police enquiries into other public safety incidents during the festive season remain ongoing.

At least two people were injured after a gunman opened fire at the festival village in Carrot Bay on Thursday, August 6, 2026.

    Because they are not part of the turn up crew. Them on their own. No free this free that. Now lit crew will be more upset that it’s none- lit members is who was the disturbance for their jams being delayed lol
