Road Town Jetty Building reopens following 5-day closure
The British Virgin Islands Ports Authority (BVIPA) confirmed that the facility is again handling international ferry arrivals and departures, including Immigration and Customs clearance procedures.
Closure ends
The temporary closure ran from Sunday, November 1 through Thursday, November 5, while the BVIPA carried out works intended to address identified concerns and maintain a safe environment for employees, passengers, and other users of the facility.
During the closure, international ferry operations were temporarily handled through the West End Ferry Terminal. Arriving passengers completed Immigration and Customs clearance there before continuing their journeys, while departing passengers used West End for international ferry services and departure formalities.
Normal operations resume
With the scheduled works completed, all international ferry arrivals and departures normally facilitated at the Road Town Jetty have resumed at the Road Town facility, including Immigration and Customs clearance.
The reopening restores normal ferry access to Road Town and ends the temporary arrangements that required international travellers to process through West End during the five-day period.
