Young Entrepreneurs share vision with Governor Jaspert
The event hosted under the theme: ‘Dinner with the Future’, created an opportunity for the Governor to learn more about the young entrepreneurs and their businesses. Additionally, the dinner provided an opportunity for them to network with each other.
The entrepreneurs provide goods and services across different sectors of the economy ranging from technology, graphics and fashion to sweet treats and maritime.
Governor Jaspert said, “I am happy to have provided an avenue where the young entrepreneurs could meet and engage each other. I was able to learn about how they see themselves contributing to the success of the Territory. I learned about their challenges following the hurricane and how they were able to create new opportunities and bounce back.”
The Governor said he recognised that a few of the businesses emerged following the hurricanes of 2017 and commended their ability to create businesses to address the needs of the Territory.
“They all are ambitious young people,” Governor Jaspert said, adding, “They are focused and able to share on what is trending. They understand their clientele and shared with each other strategies for making their businesses better.”
The entrepreneurs shared how they can contribute to the development of each other’s businesses through partnership and networking opportunities. Discussions also surrounded their vision and business objectives, in addition to how they started their businesses, what strategies they use to retain their clients, and how they continue to add value to their product and services.
