Wrol Up debuts; Town Hall returns @ Pre Festival races
Making its debut at the races will be Wrol Up, owned by Rodney Simmonds and which will be competing in race four against the likes of Prince of Speed, Luxury Appeal and Trading Secrets.
Then making its return following a lengthy recovery period is Town Hall. Speaking to this news site, Alex V. Lake of Family Affair Stables said that Town Hall got injured during a race in St Croix on February 16, 2014.
“The track was very hard although he won the race (for the Agriculture Fest weekend) in St Croix, USVI. His last race was the Governor’s Cup in St Thomas, USVI on April 13, 2014 and he hasn’t raced since then,” he said.
According to Lake, Town Hall is fully recovered from the injury. “He is very well… he is working out excellent and he seems to be well healed,” said Lake.
Asked about the nature of the injury that Town Hall picked up during the St Croix race, Lake said that it was a damage to a tendon in one of his legs.
“I am looking for a big performance out of him,” said Lake of his ‘comeback’ horse. He said he is also looking forward to Trading Secrets doing well on Sunday.
Town Hall will be competing in the feature race which will also include Exploring, Apollo Sky and Starship Titan.
Regarding debutante Wrol Up, Rodney ‘Mileage’ Simmonds could not be reached for comment but trainer attached to The Boys Stables Enos Z. Aaron said that Wrol Up was as prepared as ever and he expected him to bring home the bacon in his race.
