PETER ISLAND, Tortola, VI - Coordinator of the Virgin Islands Search and Rescue (VISAR) John P. Aspinal has confirmed that a woman was cut by a propeller of a catamaran off Peter Island today February 18, 2016.

According to Aspinal, the woman somehow got caught between the propeller of the boat.

"A lady managed to get herself trapped between the propeller and the boat at Peter Island. So we had to extract her,” he said.

“She's got a nasty cut but other than that she's fine. We had to remove the propeller and get her. [It doesn't seem to be life-threatening],” Aspinal said.
