VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI – The bathroom facilities at Top of the Baths at Virgin Gorda have been a featured topic in the news Territory-wide for over two years as its completion has been hit with many snags mainly because of government’s failure to provide the necessary financial resources to contractors.

Many deadlines were set previously; many interventions were made on its behalf and yet again hopes are high. The BVITB, following the concerns being dominant in the media and other sectors, has placed several ‘porta-potties’ at the location which are still in place as an interim remedy.

Yesterday as the BVI Tourist Board joined in the launch of the Virgin Gorda Easter Festival activities, they gave the assurance that the facilities would be ready for the Easter festivities, as had been assured to them by the contractors.

They said that they have been keeping close contact and visiting the works that are in progress to ensure that the schedule is adhered to and that the work moves apace. “We are working closely with the contractors, they have given us their word on this,” said Ms Shereen Flax-Charles of the BVITB.

She also noted that throughout the Easter festivities necessary facilities would be in place at the various locations as may be required. “The work there, (Top of the Baths) never stopped,” she stated.

Sounds like every one is consitpated on Virgin Gorda. Two years is too long, time to see one of those two NDP doctors for some laxative. Time to get flushing at the Baths
