ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Police have turned to the Virgin Islands community for assistance in cracking two murder cases that occurred some 6 years apart on Tortola.

In separate press releases on May 26, 2020, the Royal Virgin Islands said detectives from the Major Crime Investigations Team are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the perpetrator/s responsible for the murder of local male Cardinal Roberto Fahie aka “Wolf” of Rogues Bay who was found dead at Windy Hill, Tortola on May 26, 2011, and local male Jefferson Mark Joseph who was gunned down in the vicinity of CSY Dock at Baughers Bay on April 16, 2017.

‘Wolf’ was kidnapped before killed

According to police, witnesses stated that, on the night of May 25, 2011, Mr Fahie was abducted from his Rogues Bay residence by masked gunmen demanding money.

He was then taken from his residence by the said mask men who bounded up his wife and left.

Later that morning police received information from a witness that the body of a lifeless male was seen along the Windy Hill main road. Police responded to the scene and discovered the body of the victim who was fatally wounded by gunshots.

Police haven’t given up on investigation- RVIPF

“This year marks the ninth year anniversary of the incident and no one is yet to be identified as the perpetrator to this crime.

“Detectives of the said unit have not given up on the investigation and is still hopeful that members of the community may have crucial information to assist in identifying those responsible for this senseless murder to bring some closure to the grieving families,” the RVIPF stated.

Joseph was shot while in vehicle

Meanwhile, police stated that on April 16, 2017, Mr Jefferson M. Joseph was at a bar at CSY Dock sometime around 3:30 am when he left the bar with a female and walked to an area opposite the Water and Sewerage Department where his vehicle was parked.

Witnesses reported that shortly after the vehicle started gunshots were heard and the vehicle was seen spinning out of control and crashed into a fence at the Water and Sewerage Department.

The police and ambulance were summoned and the victim was discovered dead on the scene. The female suffered minimal injuries.

“This year marks the third year since the incident and no one is yet to be identified as the perpetrator to this crime,” police said, adding that detectives of the said unit are hopeful that members of the community may have crucial information to assist in identifying those responsible for this senseless murder to bring some closure to the grieving families.

Sadly the realest people are killed by the realest people according to the trends when someone killed. The killer and the victim falls on the same page as the realest people. Sadly no one from the ratchet community will say something because they have to protect their criminal friends....
