We cannot take info on COVID-19 'lightly'- Hon Melvin M. Turnbull

DUFFS BOTTOM, Tortola, VI - Second District Representative in the Virgin Islands (VI) House of Assembly (HoA), Hon Melvin M. Turnbull (R2) says amidst the global pandemic over the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), God is still in control and the Virgin Islands (VI) should not take lightly the amount of information and resources available about the virus.

"We are facing something yet again that we have never seen; however, I am still reminded, guided and guarded of the fact that God is still in control," Hon Turnbull told the HoA during the Friday, March 27, 2020 debate on the now passed COVID-19 Control and Suppression (Miscellaneous & Provisions) Act of 2020.

Virgin Islanders questioning 'why now' - Hon Turnbull 

According to the second term legislator, the situation surrounding COVID-19 is one that will only be fully understood when the dust settles; however, he said the severity of this disease and the numbers of lives it has taken may cause Virgin Islanders to question 'why us and why now' given what the Territory has faced in the past.

At the time of the speech, the Virgin Islands had only confirmed two cases of COVID-19. That figure moved up to three on Monday, March 30, 2020 and more than 140 persons are in self-quarantine. 

Hon Turnbull noted that the pandemic is not only about the Virgin Islands as friends and family worldwide are affected by the virus. "It is a bit difficult because this is not something that you can see and the more we hear from the professionals and the people in the health industry, there are a lot of theories and thoughts as to how to prevent and how to protect yourself against this sickness," he said.

Use all available information

Hon Turnbull noted that the Territory should, therefore, utilise all information available to aid its fight against the virus.

"The measures that are put in place and the information that is provided through the World Health Organisation, through PAHO [Pan American Health Organisation] and the other health agencies, is something that we as a people cannot and should not take lightly." 

As of 2:06pm today, March 31, 2020, the WHO has confirmed 758,948 cases with 36,571 deaths and the virus touching some 203 countries, areas and territories.

Since confirming its first two cases, the Virgin Islands implemented a complete 24/7 lockdown- from Friday, March 27, 2020 to April 2, 2020- with the aims of preventing community spread and safeguarding the people of the Territory.

Ahead of the curfew, the Territory took steps to close borders, screen incoming passengers and modified Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital with a special floor to isolate and treat COVID-19 patients.

    I’ve met a lot of people whose questioning this disease, the flu kills way more than this imitation... but hurry up install y’all 5G devices, the public is in for a rude awakening whether it’s a week from now, a year from now, 10 years from now, there’s actually a book about this “disease“ that was written in 1984 that said it will be here in 2020 and vanish into thin air but will be back 10yrs from now, is that because they will turn these devices on during that time ? Who knows but I’m ready for whatever I’m a reader and I know how to protect myself from radiation and viruses I’m not exempt from it but I know how to protect myself better than the average person

      Can u share how u protect yourself from radiation ?

      I’ve seen the page from that said book about this virus epidemic whatever

      I also am woke and aware of what is unfolding and how the world is being deceived

        EMF blockers which includes iodide which is a pill that you take and it fills your thyroid glands with positive iodide instead of absorbing the negative iodide from the radiation of 5G, so it basically blocks it out so if you start to feel like your getting radiation poisoning pop a pill and it buys you some time to get out of that area and the other stuff is call “Shungite” it’s a mineral (crystal) that you wear on your neck, get some for your phones, and some for you modem etc put them in your house and even your car just Incase you past by a area that’s filled with hidden radiation devices this repels radiation people in radiation areas wear them their proven to work...     As the ex boss for Vodafone said this is the biggest cover up in history !!! He said he knew about the dangers of 5G but never knew the correlation between 5G and the COrOnAvIrUs, but now he does and he spill the beans... this thing will soon unfold, people are starting to take the blindfolds off, we just need the people in high places to come forward even if they are assassinated like JFK
