ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- 'Saving the best for last' might be the best way to describe it as the Virgin Islands is the last of the Cable & Wireless markets across the Caribbean to undergo a complete transformation from LIME to the Flow brand.

Customers flowed into the Flow flagship store on Fleming Street today May 13, 2016 to catch in on some of the offers available for the launch, including the much welcomed ‘Double Bubble. Added to that, they have been noticing the new blue and white colours of the Flow brand in the building as well as the new wear of the Flow staff.

“It has been coming for a long time across the Caribbean, and in fact we are privileged to be the last country, the last enterprise of the organisation to be transferred into the Flow brand and anyone coming here will see that we have a great atmosphere and have some great offers,” Managing Director for Flow BVI, Tim R. Ringsdore said.

What to expect from Flow?

Regarding the improved service that customers can expect, the Managing Director had said in a press release sent to the local media on May 12, 2016 that : “We are upgrading links to Virgin Gorda and Anegada, continuing to upgrade our fixed network and rolling out further super-fast broadband across the islands. The of launch of LTE (superfast mobile) will take place later in the year, we will also be developing a state of the art customer experience centre in our current retail outlet plus developing further opportunities for businesses to connect to our fibre network. We are also pleased to announce the launch of our new customer contact centre, which has been relocated to the Caribbean, this is as a result of customer feedback.”

Ringsdore added: “We can truly aspire to be the change we want to see in this service industry of telecommunications, and set our sights firmly on being number one with customers. We are equipping our business with the tools to succeed: further investments in our network infrastructure, product innovations, new retail experience outlets, with bold, interactive features, self-help facilities and freshly trained customer service agents, more bundled packages that our converged advanced technology allows, plus bring new levels of affordability and customer service to the Virgin Islands.”

It was noted too that the VI can look forward to FlowTV, which has been hugely successful in other Caribbean markets and will be launched in the territory within the next year.

Meanwhile, Head of Commercial for Flow BVI, Ravi Maywahlall said the flagship store has seen a constant flow of traffic since doors were opened this morning.

He said the company is running Double Bubble, which will last until tomorrow, May 14, 2016 and if anyone purchases a data plan today they will get double the data.

Android smart phones are also being given away while customers have the opportunity to purchase a Samsung Galaxy phone for as low as $49.

Duane Stephenson & Peter Ram for Flow Launch Concert

The rebranding celebration will culminate at the Tortola Pier Park this evening with a free concert featuring Jamaican reggae artiste Duane Stephenson and Bajan Soca artiste Peter ‘Ram’ Wiggins.

Stephenson is popular for songs such as August Town, Cottage in Negril, Ghetto Pain, and Fool For You while Peter ‘Ram’ Wiggins is known for songs like Woman By My Side, Pumpin, and Carnival Praise.

The Flow Launch Concert, which starts at 8pm at the Cruise Pier Parking Lot, will also see VIBES, DJ Dre and Razor Bladez in action.

And according to Mr Ringsdore, there will be great offers there as well and persons are encouraged to wear blue, with a prize for ‘best dressed in blue’, up for grabs.

'Flow' sounds like a plumbing fixture. Speaking of, they could use some seating in the lobby.
