ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI– For internationally recognised clothing designer Kristen C. Frazer, participating in the 7th Annual Summer Sizzle BVI 2015 on Saturday July 25, 2015 at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex will be nothing new as she has been supporting the event almost every year. Nevertheless, this will be a special occasion for her because she will be teaming up on the runway with another internationally recognised shoe designer and fellow VIslander- Stella Maze.

“I will be working alongside London-based designer Martine Wester and Stella [Maze], and it’s the first time I am doing that, but am more particularly excited about working with Stella because she is local, she is home grown,” Kristen told Virgin Islands News Online.

Frazer, the head designer of Trèfle Inc which is a swim and resort wear company, said herself and Stella Maze have been working together for months on their colour coordination and other aspects of their designs ahead of Summer Sizzle BVI.

“She has an eye for the industry and it’s the perfect time for us to collaborate in our home country at this year’s Summer Sizzle BVI featuring Celebrity Taraji P. Henson. With Martine Wester jewelry now on board, we are sure to heat up the runway,” exclaimed Frazer, who noted that Maze is already on island.

It should be noted that Virgin Islands News Online featured Kristin Frazer as one of your Young Professionals back in September 2012 while Stella Maze (born Athnia Wendy Jack) was featured in November 2013.

Debut pieces

Meanwhile, Trefle Inc will debut pieces from their new Botanical Gardens collection. Models will grace the runway in Trèfle swimwear and resort wear sporting signatures blue soles from the Stella Hues Collection while adorned with jewelry from Martine Wester London.

The Trèfle Botanical Gardens collection consists of modern, yet vintage-inspired pieces with a Caribbean touch.

Frazer will also showcase a preview of the new Summer 2016 Collection, which includes Trèfle’s first original artwork done by local artist, Kieron Harry.

“He (Harry) actually did a painting and I infused it on to the fabric so this is my first official and original print for Trefle. So I will be doing more and more original prints so you wouldn’t be able to find it nowhere else in the world.”

Frazer and Maze join other international designers, such as Cesar Galindo, Tracy Reese, Kevan Hall, and Korto Momolu during Summer Sizzle BVI.

Founded by Terry T. Donovan of Signature by Terry Donovan Events, Summer Sizzle BVI draws celebrities, media, and influencers from around the globe.

Oscar-nominated actress and star of FOX TV’s “Empire,” Taraji P. Henson will be the host of the show on Saturday.
