ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Democratic presidential nominee Hillary R. Clinton’s billionaire endorsers extend not only across the aisle, but also across the ocean.

On Friday October 14, 2016, British billionaire and Virgin Islands Belonger Richard C.N. Branson endorsed Clinton in a blog post on Virgin’s website. Branson said he had been following the election closely because it will have “major implications” all over the world. “With that in mind, I wanted to share my view on why a Donald Trump presidency would be a disaster,” he wrote.

Branson started the post by saying that while he would like to see an entrepreneur in the White House, he does not want Trump to be elected. “[T]here are many entrepreneurs who I would be delighted to see in power – just not this one,” he wrote.

Branson knows a thing or two about entrepreneurship. He dropped out of school at 17 for his first business venture, publishing a magazine called Student. Then in 1973, he started Virgin Records, which he sold nearly twenty years later for $1 billion to Thorn EMI. Today, he owns a dozens of businesses under the Virgin brand name, including Virgin Airlines. FORBES estimates Branson’s net worth at $4.9 billion. That makes him $1.2 billion richer than the Republican nominee, whose net worth dropped $800 million over the past year to $3.7 billion, according to FORBES, partly due to the softening of New York City’s real estate market.

Branson wrote that he once told Trump that they disagreed on entrepreneurship when they met many years ago. Branson said his definition of what makes a great entrepreneur “involves being a good listener, putting others before oneself, being an effective delagator and striving to make a positive difference to the world.” Additionally, he wrote that entrepreneurs are good decision makers who know when to take risks.

“These are not characteristics I see in Mr Trump — neither in his previous business dealings, nor in this campaign,” Branson wrote. He criticised Trump’s stance on immigration and open borders, saying that an “entrepreneur president” would be focused on increasing jobs in the United Sates. (Business Insider)

But his grand son up on Fox TV Bitching Hillary.. I think Hillary is a fake and I think Trump is a Rich idiot... What I cxant understand is why all these black people up on the TV defending Hilary, and she couldn't find one black person in the whole of America qualified to be her VP..continue that legacy...As for Michelle Obama why she didn't get on TV and give that emotional speech when black men or shot down like dogs in front of her door, or about the killing in Detroit.. They don't move me. They are all fake and concern only about themselves..

Why can't we stop the hate. The man made a good point regardless of race or social status. Let us see beyond petty bias and give jack his jacket. While I don't think Hillary would be the best person to be president, she is the best choice at present. If Trump ever becomes president then god help us all. So put an end to this discrimination instead of manifesting the very mentality you seek to oppose and let us work together to rid our territory of such hateful behavior.

The majority of persons coming from the Caribbean (and other areas) to the Virgin Islands are only carrying up the poverty rate.

Hillary or Trump is not fit to run America. I will NOT be voting this election. I am thinking about leaving America for Canada or Europe. This election is going to be crazy.

The media really have you all delusional about Hillary boy...LOL...you actually think there is a difference. I followed most of Hillary's career prior to this election and have noted several things among them she is just as racist as she accuses trump to be and she he not that much of an advocated for women as many think....After all to her you black people are super thugs...

I still would suggest that you do vote. Why? Think of the students who will be going off to college/university/internships within the next year. Despite that I agree that neither are fit to be president, it would be prudent to select the best person who can safegaurd interests such as those. How will our children be affected in the long run, how will our country be affected in the long run. Please remember that we use US currency and our major industries are Finance and Tourism. These will both be equally affected by this year's presidential election. So please take this to heart and select the lesser of evils that you would prefer to see in the white house before you go on your journey.

I am happy to see there are other black people out there who see beyond Crooked Hillary and Crooked media like CNN. If I was American I would vote Trump. For years we have been brainwashed by CNN, everywhere we go, banks, etc., and the mind control melody which plays in between.....It is better to vote for a no brakes lunatic than a crooked lunatic.

Mr. Branson complaining about trump because he afraid of him, he down here hiding out. If Branson had care so much about our virgin islands how come we have not seen anything meaningful that he has done to make the economy better. he could of schedule Virgin Air to fly to the Virgin Islands, or partner with a virgin islander. He is this big billionaire but he just want to keep us in economic slavery and buy everything and Islands.

You are so right. Branson needs to go back to the UK as he is of no use to the betterment of the BVI. We need a new airport, complete the hospital, hospital on VG, local airline, fix sewerage problem, better roads to name a few. What the hell has he done? What ever projects he involved in is to benefit him and the other status quo. I hope the Uk takes back his knight hood and start taxing his arse. I just stand him not because he is rich but because you cant proclaim to love a place and does nothing for it.

If you are a black american, it is in your interests to:
have strict gun control and police de-militarisation,
have a Pres that does not pander to racism and xenophobia and the pseudo-religious extremists who seem to be able to unduly shape Republican politics,
not have a Pres who calls you "the Blacks" or turns away rental customers to his properties because they are black,
not have a Pres who is in favour of laws that disproportionately target black people or other minority racial groups.
you vote for him and you deserve what you get, even though Hilary has been apparently fairly crooked, although no more than Trump - ask those he owes money to.

I am not sure why us folks in the BVI keep looking for someone else to fix our problems. It is not his responsibility to fix our issues, its the Governments! Get off your high horse expecting other people to 'save' you and put the responsibility where it is supposed to be

Hilary will win. She will be a one term president. As a matter a fact don't be surprised if she doesn't finish her first term. Something big Pop up about her.

Neither Trump the punk or Hillary is suitable for presidency. As far as I am concerned, Trust is just there for entertainment and to make Hillary look like the better candicate. I mean come on, Hillary can't even accept or acknowlege her BLACK stepson, has never stood up for black people or even did any thing for that matter!

Every single thing is planned...even this election and its candidates. If you ever watch old episodes of the Simpsons, you'll see a lot of these things. Can't trust any of them.
