Verna V. Smith, to run At-Large, possibly Progressives United candidate?
While her party affliction is unclear, there are speculations that she may run with the Hon Fraser led Progressives United (PU) party.
Ms Smith, who has spent most of her career in the aviation business is currently Manager of Air Sunshine at Terrence B. Lettsome International Airport, on Beef Island.

She is also a previous employee of the now defund Air BVI and has extensive training in aspects of services in the aviation sector including safety measures.
When reached, Ms Smith confirmed that she will be runing, however, she noted, “I am still in discussions with political parties including the Progressives United.”
The PU launched on Friday, January 11, 2019, with only four candidates and their Leader Hon Julian Fraser RA (R3) promised that more candidates will be launched.

Chairman of PU, Hon Fraser, is the District 3 candidate where he is seeking another 4-year term in office—after first being elected in 1999-current—and Dr Vincent G. Scatliffe, who previously served as Fourth District Representative (2007-2011] is the PU candidate in D4.
Ms Stephanie A. Brewley, aka ‘the Brown Girl in the Ring,’ will be contesting the District 1 seat while the District 5 PU Candidate is Dirk L. Walters.
