BASSETERRE, St Kitts & Nevis- While parts of the Bahamas remain devastated following the passage of Hurricane Dorian early in September 2019, its senior national football team has been storming through the 2019/20 CONCACAF Nations League. The latest victim was the [British] Virgin Islands.

Playing at the Warner Park Cricket Stadium in St Kitts and Nevis yesterday, October 10, 2019, the Bahamas swamped the Virgin Islands (VI) 4-0 to remain unbeaten in Group B of League C.

Lesly St Fleur and Happy Hall led the way for The Bahamas with two goals each in the win.

Approximately a month ago, Hall and Cameron Hepple lifted the Bahamas to a 2-1 victory over Bonaire, who had defeated the Virgin Islands 4-2 on September 6, 2019.

Meanwhile, the VI have lost both of their games so far, against Bonaire and Bahamas.

They are scheduled to play Bonaire on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Warner Park Cricket Stadium in St Kitts and Nevis.

Their return match against Bahamas is November 14, 2019.

The CONCACAF Nations League is a new centralised men’s national team competition representing a new era of national team football for CONCACAF member associations.

Through this new centralised competition, all 41 CONCACAF member associations will keep the dream alive by participating in competitive international football year-round.

VI tackle Bahamas today in CONCACAF Nations League

The Virgin Islands continue their campaign in the 2019/20 CONCACAF Nations League with a game against Bahamas today, October 10, 2019.

The match will be played from 7:00pm at Warner Park Cricket Stadium in St Kitts and Nevis.

The Senior Virgin Islands footballers had opened play in the league against Bonaire on September 6, 2019 when they lost 2-4 at the Ergilio Hato Stadium in Willemstad, Curacao.

Tyler Forbes had scored both of the goals for the VI.

The Virgin Islands were grouped with Bonaire and Bahamas in Group B of League C.

The 2019–20 CONCACAF Nations League is the inaugural season of the CONCACAF Nations League, an international association football competition involving the men's national teams of the 41 member associations of CONCACAF.
